This archetype experiences rhythm deeply, like the natural pulse of his heart and in his cells. He enjoys fixed rhythms and tempos that he can rely on. The Rhythmic therefore finds great satisfaction in mundane rituals and routines that attune him to the vibrations of all life. He stays true to his own inner rhythms which keeps him vital, healthy and always in his flow. For the Rhythmic, even intimacy and work has a pattern, consistency, and rhythm.

In the bigger perspective, the Rhythmic fixes the pattern of all life, holding all creatures and humans together in a wider universal rhythm, creating resonance through his heart and breath, and naturally adjusts the tempo and timber, so the rhythm is harmonized and not forced. Out of this archetype emerges a deep sense of security that comes from knowing that everything is following a universal flow.

For the Rhythmic, waiting isn't stopping; instead, it's an active state, much like being pregnant. Waiting is a part of this archetype’s nature—he honors it and relaxes into the flow of life. He trusts his innate sense of timing, sets his intentions and long term goals, then falls back on the reassuring confidence that everything will proceed in its own time. To the Rhythmic, nothing happens by accident or without a potential gift, thus patience is the natural ground of this archetype’s being.

His groundedness and open heart is contagious and people feel good around him. They tune into his beat and live life as if it was a musical pattern. They see him breathe calmly and deeply into his belly and never be trapped into stress or agitation by an outer life situation. Life knows best and the Rhythmic isn’t here to interfere.

The Rhythmic has a tantric relationship with the Wildwoman (15), who encourages him to stretch and grow although he can be uncomfortable when she disrupts his routine. He, in turn, helps the Wildwoman to see her extremes. A tantric relationship isn’t built on bartering or just satisfying each other’s needs. Instead, it’s about coming together and mirroring each other, in order to continuously grow and evolve into full potential. Growth happens through simply opening one’s heart and fully receiving life and one’s partner. Daring to face everything with an open heart is the greatest catalyst for continuous breakthroughs and awakening.

Being forced to deviate from his natural rhythms in the way he is with the Wildwoman, can be destabilizing for The Rhythmic. However, his love is bigger than his fear and he is a courageous lover. Understanding and appreciating what each brings to the flow helps them embrace and transcend challenges.

The Rhythmic also has a close relationship tothe Heroine (35), who impacts him similarly to the Wildwoman. The Heroine lives a life rich in experience, always ready and hungry to try something new. She samples many different things in life in order to learn from them. Her deepest talent is for adventure and that is not exactly how the Rhythmic lives his life. He learns a lot on their joint escapades and when things get heated or chaotic, he is the one to maintain the calm and patience.
