"The amount of life you feel is directly proportionate to your willingness to face the fears that threaten your dreams."

Who is this Archetype?

The Daredevil’s life is an archetypal hero’s journey against overwhelming odds. He won’t allow anyone to stop him from finding and living his purpose. This archetype has actually learned to embrace struggle and enjoy the challenge. He is always ready to take any risks in order to find meaning in life.

The Daredevil spontaneously knows what is worth fighting for and what is not. Aware that the current incarnation isn’t forever, he is ready to take any risk that makes him feel more alive. He enjoys excess in the game of life. Living to the fullest requires great courage and total commitment, the Daredevil feels enriched when living life on the edge.

The Daredevil embraces the entirety of life, the pain as much as the pleasure. He is taking the risk not only to look but to actually leap into the dark. He is ready to feel the obscurity and allow its penetration until there is no separation and no fear.

The Daredevil shows us that the doorway is in the darkest, deepest corner of the shadow. His nature is shamanic and transformational. He is very clear —THOROUGH is the only way—bypassing doesn’t exist. Confronted by the inner demon, the separate self begins to dissolve into the archetype itself. Evil is simply everything about life that has not yet been accepted and embraced.

The Daredevil knows everything within the psyche that humans do not wish to accept, right down to the core fear of non-existence. He shows us that only as we reclaim each of these dark aspects of our inner being can the true light come through. The Daredevil requires that we surrender into our own deepest fears ,and in dying, we are reborn as pure consciousness.

Through this surrender to the mystery of life, the Daredevil experiences totality. Death is nothing to be afraid of. There is only immortality when you live fully in the now, moment by moment.

Quarter of Duality

Theme: Purpose fulfilled through Relationships

Internal Motivator:

Leaping into things that make him feel alive

"It’s worth the risk"

Positive Attributes:

Achilles Heel:

Taking unfounded risks

"Risk-taking is never safe"

Gene Key Patterns:

Victim of the Fear of Letting Go

Dilemma: Avoidance

Repressive Nature:

To turn away from your fears is to live a lackluster existence with no deeply felt sense of purpose. Your life may be glamorous and successful or dull and mundane, but it has no center. You often try hard to appear happy and easy-going, even to yourself, but to anyone who knows their own dark side, you can’t hide yours. If you don’t face your own demons, you will live a half-life. You may pretend to be happy or evolved, but you lack the depth and deep understanding of those who have dared to look into the deep, dark mirrors of their souls.

From the Gene Keys

 Reactive Nature:

You react to the fear that they feel by transforming your fear into activity. This results in rash and impetuous acts that temporarily cloak the fear. You are addicted to this risk-taking pattern and live your life at the extreme—at such a fast and unpredictable pace that you cannot stop and examine the fear that is driving you. You will try anything and everything to give you a sense of purpose, but you cannot stop moving. Your most terrifying space is your own inner silence and stillness.

From the Gene Keys

Questions to Consider:

What scares you?

Is there an inner demon you are refusing to face?

Where do you use avoidance as a strategy?

What is your relationship with struggle? Is it a habit for you to struggle? What do you struggle to embrace or accept?

Do you struggle to let go?

Whatever you struggle with, do you know why?

How do you experience change? Is it easy to pivot or do you struggle?

What is your relationship to shamanism? Have you tried plant medicine or been part of any shamanic ceremonies?

What does ego death mean for you?

Do you feel your life is harder than most people’s lives?

Do you pretend?

When do you gamble?

What are your addictions?

In a constantly changing environment, can you stay focused and committed or is the unexpected too stressful or annoying? Can you stick with the constantly changing or do you prefer to let go?

When have you faced your fears to move toward a dream?  What happened?

Are you constantly active or moving?

Do you live intuitively? When you follow your intuition, what happens?

What motivates you? Focus on yourself and your experience in the moment or any promised achievement?

Do you constantly take risks in order to escape from how you feel inside?

Are you terrified of being still?

Are you always looking for your life purpose? Do you know what it is, but you don't know how to follow through?

Have you ever felt deeply aligned with your purpose?

Where are you totally committed in your life? What does that feel like?

Do you have a practice that connects you to the totality of existence?

"Totality means to live alongside fear—to live with the unexpected and to stay open to continual change whilst remaining committed."
-The Daredevil

"Evil is simply everything about life that has not yet been accepted and embraced."
-The Daredevil

"Whatever role you are playing in the game of life—lover, villain, master, disciple or seeker—as long as your commitment is total, you will discover a mysterious detachment running beneath the role itself, and this detachment is the reward for your courageous totality."
- The Daredevil

Phone Backgrounds

EMBRACE your shadows. Sometimes our shadows just need attention and love to be transformed. An embrace is a hug. We pull it in; we do not push away. Hug until it blends and transforms inside of you, revealing the GIFT within. The gift is then RELEASED within you and outside of you. You EMBODY the Siddhi when this essence vibrates through your whole being.
