Who is this Archetype?
The Heroine lives a life rich in experience, always eager to try something new. She samples many different things in life in order to learn from them. Her deepest talent is for adventure.
With the wisdom that nothing lasts forever, the Heroine is guided by her intuition and desire to experience life fully. She has a powerful inner compass that takes her into places and experiences no one has been before. Through experiences, this archetype evolves and develops maturity and talent in many areas.
Her partner in crime is the Storm (36). In their relationship, it is the Storm who feels deeply and stirs up things emotionally which creates intensity and many trials of love between these two archetypes. The Heroine may feel the impulse to go off and have other encounters on her own, and at the same time, she appreciates the richness that the Storm brings to her life.
These two lovers have learned that the real gift of the adventure isn't in the drama—it's in the process, the emotions and the lessons learned. In challenging moments, the Heroine brings humor, and suddenly the tension between them dissipates, and they return to love and acceptance.
The Heroine also has a close relationship to the Drummer (5). When playing with this archetype, she gets a sense of natural rhythm. Instead of being hungry for the next experience, she can slow down, savor the moment and know that everything happens in perfect timing. In this surrender, true magic lies.
The Heroine knows she can’t solve her incessant hunger for experience by stuffing life with experiences, people or material things, and even less by trying to starve it away. She has found the balance between the inner and other life and nourishment. She has learned that openness is the path to freedom and ecstasy.
Ultimately, the Heroine is all about love. To live with an open heart is to live in a perpetual state of adventure. If you are ready to take the great leap and risk it all for the sake of love, getting to know the Heroine inside yourself is the gateway to boundlessness. She will show you the infinite possibilities in a life lived in the name of love.
