PARENTING BY DESIGN
Created by Ashley Nichole
If you are a parent, you may find this information useful as it will help you understand your child's unique blueprint. This will give you insights into how they learn, what their talents are, how they process information + energy, what they need from you and even their unique challenges (mind, body, soul, emotion, health, etc). You can use this information to help guide (not mold) them towards adulthood -- giving them the tools and information they need to live life with an open heart and open mind. When your child can align with their design and their own inner light they will need nothing outside of themselves. They will get to CHOOSE - not need - their relationships and experiences. And most importantly, their inner authority will be what they use as a compass as they journey through this life.
Your Parenting Tools
How they navigate life
How their energy works
An open heart
This is not about fixing your child, this is about you not getting in the way of their own unique life journey. This is as much for you as it is for them. When you show up whole, healed and open you child does not need to meet your expectations or give you anything. Most parents use their children to feel needed, worthy and loved, but this is detrimental to their own development and well-being.
It is more important to be a parent than to parent. This just means that you create the space and nurturing for them to thrive within. You aren't here to mold them.
THIS SHOULD BE A HUGE WEIGHT OFF YOUR SHOULDERS.
Their success and failures mean nothing about you. Their emotions are not your responsibility. You are here to teach them to tap into their own unique genius and inner guidance system.
You are here to help them be self-sufficient.
Your child is equal to you. Just because they are little does not mean their soul isn't wise. They will teach you as much as you will teach them.
Don't make this about you.

These systems (Gene Keys and Human Design) can get even more complex with the insights they offer. You can also learn how their mind works, how and what they should eat, what environment is best suited for them. It will also give you insight into where they might be operating out of alignment with their design and how they can be conditioned.

1. FAMILY ALCHEMY
Assess to support the health of your "Family Alchemy."
Take inventory of your relationships with the 5 people (Penta) that comprise your micro-community. These are your closest friends.
Who is the Mother of the group?
Are all the relationships harmonious?
Is everyone warm and friendly?
Does it feel nurturing?
Are you literally in touch with everyone?
What skills and assets are provided within the micro-community?
What are the spoken and unspoken bargains or contracts you have everyone?
Are you meeting their expectations?
Are they meeting yours?
Do things feel equal?
Do you have healthy boundaries?
What is your greatest fear of not living up to within your community?
Does it make you feel trapped?
Does it make you feel weak?
2. REACH OUT
Reach out and touch your friends! Get in touch with your friends and reinforce your relationships through gratitude and offer a service/deal that is correct for you. Show them Tenderness. Try to make it in person or video chat. Who needs your support the most? Is one of your friends a single mom? Offer to babysit! Or offer to deliver a home-cooked meal.
3. MAKE A BARGAIN!
What do you need that your micro-community could provide, instead of buying that service or from a stranger? What skills or assets do you have that could be offered in exchange? Remember to get creative. Some of the warmest, heartfelt support has little to do with money.
4. PLAN A GATHERING
Get ideas from your friends. Make it pot-luck so your whole tribe will support it. Who is on the clean-up committee? Who is bringing what dish? What will you do together? How can each person feel needed and feel like they are contributing equally?
5. TOUCH THERAPY
Next time you are gathered with your friends, invite them to exchange a hand/foot or shoulder massage. You could even plan a co-ed spa night if that feels correct for you.
5. HOLDING HANDS IS HEALTHY
Try this ancient in Shin Jyutsu practice to improve your health or the health of your loved ones and friends. This technique is taught by nurses in a hospital in Salem, Oregon to help reduce patient’s stress before surgery.
