The Originator

Who is this Archetype?
This archetype starts the Human Design year, and it is called Start Codon in the Gene Keys.
The Originator embodies the impulse to do something new. He is the actual spark that fuels a never traveled journey. He is driven by the urge to seek experiences through emotion, imagination, excitement, or simply a thirst for destiny. The Originator is closely related to the Fire Starter (30) and infuses fuel into this archetype’s desire.
The Originator connects the dream and the manifestation. When his dreams manifest, there is an expansion, and he gets to feel something he hasn't experienced before.
He tunes in to the morphogenetic field and has access to everything that has been and will be created. This is how the Originator anticipates what is coming as well as what is truly needed.
This archetype is connected to the Visionary (31) who represents the voice of leadership. The Originator has the energy that can fuel the direction and expression for the collective or the whole planet.

The Originator can also tune into the future, connect to something from the grid and manifest it into the present. He can also have premonitions of the future.
The Originator has the ability to tune into the morphogenetic field* and download anything. It's suspected that Motzart tapped into this same field to create his music. This could be used to download a skill or knowledge -- much like a program is downloaded to the hard-drive of a computer.
Since it is connected (programming partners) to the Leader archetype (door 31), it has connections to the leaders of the past, present and future and can use their wisdom and experience to apply to the present.
