Description:

The Eternal Child embraces all the trials involved with new beginnings and fresh starts. They are a creative genius who loves mutation and transformation. The Eternal Child trusts life fully and can’t understand why everyone does not. Creating adventures in innocence and wholeheartedness, the Eternal Child shows us how to reawaken the spirit of youthful play.

The process can look like a pile of scattered Lego blocks. The Eternal Child knows how to turn the mess into a beautiful city of possibilities. Seeing chaos as an essential part of the process, this archetype plays with it instead of controlling or avoiding.

On the other side of things, the Eternal Child isn’t afraid to tear down what it just created. There is no clinging to old structures. This archetype can embrace the chaos and confusion, so there is no need to hold on to anything. It knows there is nothing wrong in destruction and can transform anything through the process of play and creativity.

However, as with the Spark (1), the Eternal Child has accepted that creativity can’t be forced. There is a natural pulse of life that is sometimes on, sometimes off. Nature knows how to rest.

The Eternal Child is also connected to the Magician (60), who controls the timing of when and how things can be actualized in the outer world. The Eternal Child actually needs the structure of the Magician to successfully share its innovative qualities with the world with long-lasting impact. Bringing order out of chaos and confusion is a process which takes time.

Knowing that whenever something new is introduced, resistance and difficulty are often present, the Eternal Child, much like the Rhythmic (5), has matured enough to have patience. In the meantime, it likes to prepare the field and foundation for its innovations.
