WHO IS THIS ARCHETYPE?
The Storm has to do with the human experimental way. Humans learn as we go and by seeing others succeeding and making mistakes. Inside the Storm lives the evolutionary impulse to experience new feelings and new situations in order to learn from them. He is here to grow through profound emotional experiences often linked to sexual tension that is gender related. This usually occurs once the desires of – the Fire Starter (30) – are expressed in the world.
The Storm knows how to handle emotional experiences and find clarity by going through all kinds of emotional challenges – both positive and negative ones. He moves through cycles during which inexperience is transformed into experience. There is always changing weather around this archetype as he learns through constant change.
This is exciting and sometimes deeply overwhelming and painful. Every time the Storm is shattered in crisis something new is learned. He gains wisdom through this process. When the experience is over, he is born anew.
What matters is actually not what he feels, but what he does with his feelings. The Storm doesn’t ask us to reject our feelings, or react to them. He teaches us to simply acknowledge and embrace any emotional turbulence with compassion. Life is full of flavor and pleasure and pain always come together.
The Storm knows that nothing lasts and from that also stems the courage to jump into the experience and live it fully. He sees life as a journey of gathering wisdom through life experiences. This includes sexual experience that often include desires, intensity, deep emotions, newness, crises or rebirth.
