A Phoenix Declaration for the New Era
I do not belong to fear.
I do not belong to roles I outgrew,
or to the version of me that stayed polite while slowly dying inside.
I belong to my life.
I belong to the pulse in my body that knows when it is yes,
and knows when it is no,
and does not apologize for the difference.
I belong to the places where I am fully met
where intimacy is not feigned,
where closeness is not a negotiation,
where my tenderness is not used against me.
I belong to Spirit,
as the living current moving through me,
This moment is the altar.
This breath is the return.
I will not postpone what is true inside me
until it becomes bitterness.
If what must fall is falling, let it fall.
If what must burn is burning, let it burn.
Because what remains is not emptiness.
What remains is the part of me that cannot be bought,
cannot be managed,
cannot be owned.
And from that place
I rise.
