Your Incarnation Cross
Your Incarnation Cross is like the overarching theme or storyline of your life. It’s created by the four gates that were activated when you were born. Two from your conscious sun/earth and two from your unconscious sun/earth.
Think of it as your life’s compass: it doesn’t tell you what to do in every moment, but it points to the deeper purpose that threads through your experiences, relationships, and growth.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?

Life Purpose
The Incarnation Cross gives language to why you are here. It describes the flavor of the contribution you’re designed to bring into the world, simply by living as yourself.

Your Unique Frequency
It’s not a “job description” but a frequency you broadcast. Whether you’re aware of it or not, this energy influences everyone you meet.

Integration Point
It ties together your conscious personality (what you know about yourself) and your unconscious design (what others see in you). Your cross weaves these into a single, coherent purpose.

Life Story Arc
The Cross shows the themes that will keep repeating in your life, inviting you to deepen, mature, and embody them. These aren’t random patterns, they are the initiations your soul chose for this lifetime.
HOW TO WORK WITH IT
Your cross is not a mission to chase, it’s the backdrop of your life movie already playing through you.
The key is embodiment: when you live according to your strategy and authority (the basics of Human Design), you naturally align with your cross.
Over time, you’ll recognize how your challenges and gifts keep circling back to this same life theme, guiding you deeper into your true purpose.
Your Incarnation Cross is the life theme your soul chose to explore and embody. It reminds you that your purpose isn’t something you have to find, it’s already written into the fabric of your being.

Case Study: The Incarnation Cross of the Plane (6-36-15-10)
“The purpose of this Cross is to humanize spirituality and spiritualize humanity.”
I have been doing some digging into my personal incarnarion cross and thought it might be helpful to share if someone else has this or part of this cross (cross of eden, cross of the vessel of love)
This cross is all about embodying the human journey. this includes experiencing conflict, turbulence, rhythm, and self-love. The goal is to find peace, compassion, naturalness, and being through it all.
It’s sometimes called a “mutual initiation” cross: you move through human struggles (emotional storms, conflicts, extremes) in order to show others how to stay grounded in love and presence within them. Your life purpose is not about avoiding turbulence, but about transmuting it into compassion and peace.
THE FOUR GATES
- Gate 6 (Conflict → Diplomacy → Peace)
This is the gate of emotional boundaries and intimacy. It filters who and what enters your emotional aura, and at its highest it refines chaos into peace and diplomacy. - Gate 36 (Turbulence → Humanity → Compassion)
Known as the gate of crisis, it pushes into the unknown, creating storms that catalyze growth. It teaches through direct experience—sometimes messy, but always transformative. - Gate 15 (Dullness → Magnetism → Florescence)
The love of humanity, rhythm, and extremes. It embraces diversity, cycles, and the wide range of human expression. This gate brings a sense of humility and adaptability. - Gate 10 (Self-Obsession → Naturalness → Being)
The gate of love of the self, it’s about living authentically and embodying naturalness. At its highest, it radiates pure being without distortion.
THE JOURNEY
- You meet conflict (6) and crisis (36) head-on. This can feel intense, like life always throws you into the deep end.
- You’re here to remember that these storms are not punishments, they are gateways to deeper humanity and compassion.
- Gate 15 gives you the adaptability to navigate extremes, and the magnetic aura to draw people into shared experiences.
- Gate 10 roots you in authenticity, reminding you to return to naturalness and simply bemeven when life feels overwhelming.
PURPOSE & GIFT
The purpose of this Cross is to humanize spirituality and spiritualize humanity. You’re here to show that being human, with all its messiness, is sacred. Your gift is helping others trust that turbulence is not the end, but part of the unfolding journey toward compassion, peace, and authentic being.
